Pre-Installation
From the moment your order is placed with the Datasharp team, the procedure implemented will ensure that the installation of your new equipment is seamless.
Datasharp will manage the project for you – organising convenient delivery dates and all necessary engineering.
As part of our comprehensive range of services Datasharp UK Limited employ fully industry recognised Prince II qualified project managers.
The project manager’s role, in close co-operation with the customer, is to ensure that the installation of the equipment is carried out as smoothly as possible with the minimum amount of disturbance to the customer’s normal business operations.
As part of the process we would normally ensure the following points:
- Project meetings to establish installation timescales and responsibilities
- To ensure all network/electrical points required are available at machine locations
- All machine locations have a sufficient footprint
- Training schedules per location/department
Post-Installation
All our technicians have to attend training courses prior to the delivery of newly launched equipment so that we can keep abreast of all the changes and advances.
Routine preventative maintenance significantly reduces the number of service calls, if any, you will need to make. Our manufacturer trained engineers respond quickly to any emergency service calls maximising the productivity of your equipment.
As a company we hold in stock all consumable items and a vast number of parts for all the machines we have in the field thus enabling us to deal with the majority of call outs and delivery requests immediately. Should we have to order a part from Sharp receipt of these items is normally next day enabling us to have the machine up and running again within 24 hours. In the unlikely event of a part being on back order for any length of time Datasharp would install a loan machine of similar specification.

Datasharp take pride in our after sales service as we realise how important it is to our customers that every service call receive a prompt response with breakdowns being dealt with on the same day or within 24 hours. (Average call out to major faults in four hours.)
Standards
Datasharp employ account managers and technical support staff of the highest standard who are all fully manufacturer accredited on all of the machines and solutions we supply.
All members of Datasharp staff who potentially have contact with either young people or vulnerable adults are checked through the Criminal Records Bureau at an enhanced level. Datasharp is a registered Safe Contractor. All our engineers carry identification in the form of a photo ID card.
It is now a criterion of Sharp that all our technicians become Comptia PDI + certified. Due to printers being a priority in any office it has become essential for our engineers to have an in depth knowledge of IT so as to be able to link the equipment to your network. The Comptia certification is an acknowledged IT industry benchmark thus assuring our customers that Datasharp acknowledge the importance of our technical staff having the correct skills to do the job required.
Datasharp engineering personnel attend regular courses at manufacturers' training facilities to maintain our high standards of customer service. Datasharp also have an in house facility at our head office providing refresher courses, both for staff and customers.
